New Features
-
Case LIB-757 Send diagnostic details to support
The Options page has a new Support section. It gathers your library configuration, recent search history and details about your browser into one file that you can preview before sharing. Download it, or enter your email and support case number to attach it straight to your case. You choose what to include, and login details for your catalogs are never part of it.
-
Optional error reports
You can now choose to send us a short report when a search at one of your libraries fails, so we can find and fix the problem sooner. Reports are off until you turn them on under General Settings, and they never include your searches or the pages you visit.
Improvements
-
Catalog logins stay out of exported settings
Logins for catalogs such as Hoopla are now kept separately from the rest of your settings, so they are no longer included when you export your settings.
Bug Fixes
-
Title and author searches work again at Aspen Discovery libraries
At libraries using the Aspen Discovery catalog, searches by title and author could come back empty because the catalog was searching the title as the author. Books that the catalog finds by title and author now show up again.
-
Print books are found again at more Aspen Discovery libraries
Newer versions of the Aspen Discovery catalog no longer list a title's editions directly on its page, so some libraries showed no print results even when the book was on the shelf. The extension now finds those editions.
-
Correct availability at Aspen Discovery libraries that show barcodes
When an Aspen Discovery library added a barcode column to its list of copies, books on the shelf could be reported as unavailable. The extension now reads the status from the correct column.
-
No more update notices for libraries that didn't change
The daily check for library updates could tell you that your library had been updated even when nothing about it had changed. You now see that notice only after a real update.
Known Issues
-
OCLC catalogs are no longer supported due to changes in how searches require authentication
If your library uses an OCLC catalog, the functionality is currently broken and we are unable to provide an estimate for any fixes.
