Steps
Quick Method: Restart Your Browser
The easiest way to update Library Extension is to simply close and restart Chrome. The extension will automatically update in the background.
- Close all Chrome windows
- Reopen Chrome
- The Library Extension will be updated automatically
Manual Update Method
If restarting doesn’t work, you can manually force an update:

Open the Extensions page
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome
- Go to Extensions → Manage Extensions
- Or type
chrome://extensions/in the address bar

Enable Developer Mode
- Toggle the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner

Update the extension
- Click the Update button that appears at the top of the page
- Chrome will check for and install any available updates

Disable Developer Mode (optional)
- Toggle the Developer mode switch back off
The Library Extension should now be updated to the latest version.

- Click on Extensions in the left sidebar

Check for updates
- Click the gear icon next to “Manage Your Extensions”
- Select Check for Updates
- Firefox will check for and install any available updates
The Library Extension should now be updated to the latest version.
